In November 2018 I got the opportunity to perform one of my absolute favorites in the music literature: CHOPIN’S 1st PIANO CONCERTO in E MINOR. It is part of my long collaboration with the Sofia Sinfonietta under Maestro Svilen Simeonov. The deeply emotional 1st movement with its dramatic outbreaks, the 2nd movement’s long beautiful love poem and the joyful 3rd movement - all this shows Chopin’s genius at its highest level. And yet, it is the work of a young man just about 20.

At the same time I participated in making a documentary ”Banach - between Spirit and Matter” led by film director Wieslaw Saniewiski. It pictures the life of another great genius, the POLISH MATHEMATICIAN STEFAN BANACH. Banach led the famous Lwow School of Mathematics, which in the 1920’s and 1930’s created Functional Analysis. This branch of Mathematics is essential for today’s computerized society.

Music and Math have been the two important parts of my life since I was seven years old. At eleven I gave my first full piano recital program in a professional concert series and I won a Swedish national piano competition. Five years later my special talent for both diciplines resulted in me winning the national piano competion in the spring and in the autumn I won the first round in the national mathematics contest for high school students. I decided to continue working in both areas to reach the highest level of my ability. 

When performing music, my ambition is to communicate ”from heart to heart” as directly and honestly as I can. When working in math, or interdisciplinary science, my ambition is to find new interesting directions, or to find new approaches and techniques to solve problems, where old techniques have failed.
